About me

Welcome! I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the James Watt School of Engineering, Univeristy of Glasgow, UK 🇬🇧. Before this, I was a Lecturer in Computer and Information Sciences at Northumbria University, UK 🇬🇧 and a visiting researcher at Georg-August-University of Göttingen, Germany 🇩🇪. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Postdoctoral researcher in the Chair of High Performance Computing, Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg (HSU/UniBwH)/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg, Germany 🇩🇪.

I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Exeter, UK 🇬🇧, supported by the International Excellence Scholarship. Prior to that, I graduated from the Beihang University, Beijing, China 🇨🇳. I hold a M.Sc. degree in Control Science & Engineering, and a B.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering. This multidisciplinary training bridges engineering and computer science, and underpins both my research and teaching.

My research interests include:

  • Mobile edge computing
  • Intelligent transportation systems
  • Game theory teaming with reinforcement learning
  • Decision-making strategies in future mobile networks

I am also enthusiastic to teach and work with highly motivated students, and very excited to see students making progress. In qualification, I am a Fellow of UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) for teaching and supporting learning in higher education, recognized by Advance HE.

Acknowledgement

I feel deeply fortunate to have my academic journey with so many brilliant researchers and kind-hearted individuals. Therefore, I here would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my Ph.D. supervisors, postdoctoral advisor, co-authors, colleagues, and collaborators who have helped me along the way. Each of them has played an essential role in shaping not only my research, but also who I am as a person. Their unwavering support, patient guidance, and belief in me carried me through out the moments of ups and downs, reminding me to keep going even when the path was uncertain.

With their support, I am deeply inspired and hope to pursue the research that advances knowledge and creates meaningful, cross-disciplinary impact with a strong sense of purpose.
